Stephanie Roxby
MSW, LCSW
Stephanie graduated from Saint Louis University with both a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Social Work. Her Master’s degree emphasized a clinical focus and a concentration in school social work. Stephanie has both an LMSW in Missouri, as well as her LCSW in Illinois. She also holds a Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with an endorsement in school social work. She has practicum and work experience with elementary, middle and high school age students, and currently works at an elementary school in O’Fallon. She is in her eighth year as a School Social Worker and has strengths working with individuals focusing in the following areas: anxiety, anger-management, emotional regulation/coping-skills, emotional disorders, social skills, autism, and self-esteem/confidence, to name a few.
Stephanie believes that rapport building is one of the most important parts of any therapeutic relationship. She emphasizes a strengths-based approach and believes in creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals. Stephanie believes in meeting clients where they are at in their therapeutic journey. While much of her experience is with children and adolescents, she feels her skill set can be applied to working with adults as well. She has completed a wide-variety of professional development training and workshops, a few that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for youth, trauma-informed care, anxiety, and ethics/boundaries. Stephanie likes music, sports, traveling and running.
