Maria Middleton has been in clinical practice for 20 years. She earned her Post Graduate Certification in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Institute in Crestwood, MO. Her MA degree in Clinical Adult Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville and her B.S. degree in Social Psychology from Park College, Parkville, MO. She has worked in private practice since 2006. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Her background has provided her with a wide range of skills in individual, marriage, and family counseling. Maria also facilitated groups for families involved with addictive and/or behavioral disordered family members. She is also trained in crisis intervention, and a mediator assisting in divorce and custody negotiation. Maria’s areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, relaxation techniques, eating disorders, working with survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence issues, grief issues and various family issues.
