Maria graduated with her B.S. degree in Social Psychology from Park College in 1989 and an M. A. in Clinical Adult Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in 1994. She also attended the Marriage and Family Therapy Institute, Post Graduate, graduating in 1997. Maria has accomplished over 18 years of extensive work in the psychology field. Maria is a Clinical Member of AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy). She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and her background has provided her with a wide range of skills in individual, marriage, and family counseling. Maria also facilitated groups for families involved with addictive and/or behavioral disordered family members. She is also trained in crisis intervention. Maria’s areas of expertise include, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, relaxation techniques, eating disorders, working with survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence issues, grief issues and various family issues.
