I am a psychotherapist with twenty-six years experience. The majority of my career includes working with individuals, couples, and families. I also have facilitated therapy, educational and critical incident stress debriefing groups. My career includes past experience working with abused children and their families and serving as Family Therapist in a hospital based adolescent drug and alcohol treatment center.

I am proficient in traditional psychotherapies including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Family systems, and Group Therapy along with EMDR, DNMS, Mindfulness Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Educational Kinesiology (therapeutic approaches helpful for those suffering from PTSD and severe anxiety and depression often brought on by traumatic events as well as situations requiring sudden life transitions such as job loss or loss of a loved one).

I enjoy the people with whom I work in my practice. My experience has taught me that the body often holds the pain of the past in the present. I offer an eclectic approach including mind/body awareness and expressive techniques such as journaling or drawing to assist one in the journey of self discovery and mastery. I believe that being listened to and feeling safe and accepted are key to making use of the assistance I can provide.
